ATECS Plans Launch of WLAN Design and Installation Service

April 24, 2003, Westminster, CO - ATECS President, Mike Mackiewicz, announced today that ATECS is planning the launch of a Wireless LAN design and installation service. The new service, yet to be named, will be a subsidiary of ATECS and will provide solutions to residential and business customers who are interested in implementing high speed networking and shared access to their internet connection.

"The decision to begin offering a WLAN service to customers was a natural fit for our business," stated Mackiewicz. "Wireless networking solutions have grown in acceptance and our skill set in both RF and Network/IT engineering will allow us to deliver inexpensive and high quality solutions. In addition, our increased activity in the space of 802.11x technologies, including design, implementation, and security should prove to offer strong synergies between this new business and our existing engineering services."

The initial service will be offered in metropolitan Denver and is planned to launch in early May. ATECS will initially target residential and small business customers with DSL, cable modem, or other highspeed connections. However, in initial market research, ATECS has found even customers with dialup internet access have an interest in wireless networking simply because they are "tired of being wired."
